As a regional firm we focus geographically where we know and understand the culture best. Just over 90% of the households we serve are in Texas. Our offices are strategically located in Austin, Houston, and San Antonio. While we love to visit New York it is clearly another world in which to do business. We live in the Lone Star State, and our mission is to become the preeminent financial services company in the southwest.
We are intentional about risk. Rather than unintentionally taking inappropriate risks, our primary objectives for the majority of our portfolios are risk mitigation and preservation of capital. We minimize risk in client portfolios by incorporating modern portfolio theory and fundamental analysis coupled with diversification as the foundation of our methodology. To deploy risk effectively, we incorporate low-correlated asset classes including fixed income securities, equities that are identified from various market sectors, exchange-traded funds, annuities and if appropriate, alternative investments.
We have our own boutique investment bank offering corporate finance and private capital market opportunities for accredited clients and institutions. From opportunistic bridge loans to PIPE’s, both debt and equity, in public and private companies--entrepreneurs have access to compelling deal flow not available elsewhere.
RiverStone Business Advisory Services assists companies wanting to achieve the next level of performance. Our consultants provide C-level executive guidance and hands-on support. From cleaning up the balance sheet to grooming for a sale, RiverStone consultants mean business.
We pay close attention to the tax ramifications of our investment decisions for our taxable portfolios. In fact, we collaborate with your tax professional or can introduce you to a CPA in our offices, to ensure a free-flow of information all under your direction and authorization.
RiverStone Insurance Agency was created to serve the sophisticated business and estate needs of our clients. As an independent agency we choose from the broadest range of policies and products to find the most appropriate coverage for the least premium.
RiverStone serves a diverse client base that includes wealthy families, individuals, trusts, corporate retirement/pension plans and foundations. The majority of our clients are referred by existing clients and other professional advisors. We are independently owned by the partners of the firm and have no outside shareholders or corporate ownership. We have no financial relationships with investment managers, mutual fund companies, or other service providers. This structure of ownership and independence ensures that neither we, nor our recommendations, are influenced by anything other than your best interests.
Our advisors are dedicated to the financial planning process, adhering to our professional Code of Ethics and continuous improvement through continuing education. In addition to numerous FINRA licenses, professionals in our firm possess and/or are working towards financial credentials such as Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®), Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®), Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA). We’re committed to lifelong learning.
We work in concert with your other professional advisors and counselors, or we can provide referrals. We generally take the role of quarterback with our firm becoming the conduit through which the details of your financial strategy are achieved.
